Nienor sat at one end of the table of the great dining hall. He sat straight in the chair, his hands on the table before him, and stared out the window into the darkness. Emmralore sat on one side of the table four chairs down from Nienor, and she, too, stared out into the darkness. Neither spoke. Neither moved. They simply sat and stared.   
Behind them, the double doors opened and a small figure entered. The creature was called a Tootun. It mostly looked like an ape except for its long, bat-like ears, large eyes, and even larger hands. The Tootun carried a tray loaded with food into the chamber and hefted Key: Calling ch 9

The group followed Madrik as he wandered through the caverns. Phaedra followed behind Madrik, and Nyomie walked with her. Zander and Keira walked behind them, and Bran followed behind. Nyomie watched as Madrik's tail lashed the air behind him. She and Phaedra stayed well out of its range. Keira's voice rose behind them, mingled with Zander's on occassion, but Nyomie could not make out any of their words.   
"Phaedra," Nyomia started. Phaedra did not turn her head, but Erondai peered at her for a moment before Phaedra told him to look where they were going. Silence hung between them until Nyomi Key: Calling ch 8

Bran shoved his hands into his pockets as they walked. His hands shook and he didn't want anyone else to see. His body nearly screamed for a drink. Sweat drops beaded his forehead. The group had descended the stairs and now traveled through a long tunnel lit at intervals by shafts of light. Apparently the tunnel wasn't very far underground. Bran had wondered if it would be. They hadn't gone down very many stairs.  
 
Bran rocked his head back on his neck, rolling it first to one side, then to the other. His neck cracked and he smiled.   
"Sounded like that hurt," Zander remarked. Zander walk Key: Calling ch 7

Nienor stalked down the hall, his black cape whipping the air behind him. Men and creatures cowered as he passed and he heeded them not. His boot heels resounded on the stone. A dark sword hung at his side, its scabbard etched with blood-red runes. A large pair of doors ended the hall down which he walked, and he threw them open, striding into the great dining hall.   
"You're pathetic, Nienor."   
Nienor snarled, "And you're ugly, Emmralore." His sister, Emmralore, sneered at him. Her hair hung in dark curls framing her face. Her skin almost glowed, so pale was she--as if she never saw the li Key: Calling ch 6

That's right. Gen Con. It's in Indiannapolis in August, and Tim and I are going.

*happy dances*

(And yes, I know it's going to be insanely crowded, and no, I'm not considering the possibility of panic attacks. I'm growing this year. ;) )

I can't wait! I've never been into the whole gaming scene, but the past few weeks/months, a friend of ours has gotten us both into a D&D... (No, it's not Satanic, it's a ton of fun. Like writing a story with multiple authors.) So now I've been looking into Gen Con, and I'm pumped! XD We've registered and booked our hotel. We're going to be driving there because neither of us like to fly, and the closest hotel to the action is 8 miles away... :P So we're driving. Hooray 12 hours in the car.

Too far away. School to come and go between then and now. Oh well. I can certainly be patient. I'm just excited! :D :excited:
